Remote Fishing Cabins in Northern Maine

This is a fly fishermen's dream! Nine remote cabins, scattered throughout the north woods (approximately 1.5 hours west of Ashland) bring you to true Maine wilderness. Each cabin is equipped with propane lights, cook stove, and refrigerator, comfortable beds, cooking and eating utensils, and wood stove. Canoes and 14-foot, deep V fishing boats are also at the cabin. Outboard motors are available for rent at $30 a day. This is the perfect fishing/vacationing adventure – remember your camera!

Millinocket Lake!

Don’t’ confuse this lake with the town of Millinocket! This lake is in northern Maine, west of Presque Isle & close to the Allagash Wilderness Waterway. These are beautiful log cabins located in Township 8 Range 9. This is a remote area with numerous fishing opportunities. There is a main lodge on the grounds where meals are served. Wildlife sightings are common; deer, moose, bear, eagles, and loons are fixtures in the area. This is a sportsman’s dream!

PACKAGE #1 -- Private log cabin with bath, home-cooked meals, maid service, boat, motor, canoes:
$125/day + tax/person, double occupancy.
$145/day + tax/person, single.

PACKAGE #2 -- Private log cabin with bath, home-cooked meals, maid service, boat, motor, canoes, seaplane flyouts every other day, outposts over nights as desired, fishing license:
$175/day + tax/person, double occupancy.
$230/day + tax/person, single.

Messalonskee Lake

Beautiful cottage only feet from the water's edge. Western exposure - beautiful sunsets. Lake is one of the premier fishing lakes in Central Maine as listed in June 2007 Field & Stream Magazine. Bass, northern pike, brown trout, brook trout and splake. Cottage has 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, pull out coach, canoe, dock and boat mooring. Boat rentals available along with guide services - be picked up right at your dock. Enjoy Nicatous Lake in Burlington, Maine

Remote waterfront camps with sandy beaches. Family owned and operated sporting camps have existed for over 75 years. Excellent fishing for smallmouth bass and white perch, plus numerous trout and salmon waters nearby. Endless hiking trails are perfect for walks to see Maine’s wildlife: moose, deer, bear, and fox. Amenities include gaslights, stoves, and refrigerators, running water, wood stoves, linens, dishes, pots/pans

~ Boat rentals, boat launch, and gas and oil available ~ you just bring your toothbrush and towels.

Costs

  • Housekeeping Lodge (sleeps 8) – consists of 2 separate units with large living room, kitchen, fireplace, bathroom, and 2 bedrooms. Perfect for a large group. $350.00/wk - per unit ~ $60.00 per day.
  • Uncle Tom’s Cabin (sleeps 4-6) – large kitchen, living room, woodstove, bedroom, bathroom, and screened porch overlooking the lake. $350.00/wk ~ $60/00 per day.
  • Point Camp (sleeps 3) – located on Porter Point among the blueberry bushes. Consists of living/sleeping room and kitchen with stove and refrigerator. Outhouse and hand pump for water. $250.00/wk ~ $50.00 per day.

Beautiful Belgrade Lakes

Explore a chain of lakes in central Maine, most famous for the filming of "On Golden Pond." Several cabins are available on McGraw Pond, Salmon Lake, and Great Pond. We also have 10 guided fishing trips to places like the Kennebec River and famed Long Pond. If you like to explore many different fishing holes and enjoy great fishing, this is the place. Many of the lakes in this area produce Maine’s largest northern pike, and the Kennebec River produces trophy brown trout, small mouth bass and striped bass. As an added bonus, a brand new championship golf course has just been completed. Boat rentals and guide service are available.

Waterfront cottage on Great Pond
Located in Pinkham's Cove - a wonderful cottage right on the water! Sleeps 6 easy and offers private dock and good swimming area too. Costs $1250 a week or $150 a night September - June.

Long Pond Cottage
This wonderful cottage offers all the amenities of home, sleeps 8, has a private dock on the Belgrade Stream leading to Long Pond. Excellent area for pike fishing, bird watching, and canoeing. Private location - no neighbors. A short walk down a wooded trail brings you to one of the most beautiful waterfront places in Belgrade Lakes. This cottage is also perfect for snowmobiliers and hunters too. Costs $800 a week based on 4 people (additional charges may apply for bigger groups). $125 a night (two night minimum). The cottage usually books by the week in June, July and August.

Private cottage on Long Pond

Enjoy Salmon Lake and McGraw Pond
Belgrade Lakes cottages offer a full meal plan (meals are served in the main lodge), boat rentals, guide service and excellent small and largemouth bass fishing. Well-kept lakeside cottages are situated for your privacy on wooded acres of land overlooking picture perfect Salmon Lake. Costs: Adults - $80.00/night or $539.00/week (add 7% Maine lodging tax and 15% gratuity)

Private cottages on Great Pond
Private cottages on Great Pond. Newly built cottages offer full amenities, views of the lake and excellent fishing for pike, brown trout and bass. During the non-peak season these cottages can be rented daily (perfect for ice fishing and spring trophy pike fishing!). Costs $650 - $750 a week or $100 a night September - June. Belgrade Stream/Wings Mills Dam
A perfect cottage for a home-base for fishing and canoeing/kayaking. The stream offers excellent spring pike and bass fishing and is ideal for someone who likes to fish with a small boat or canoe! Very pretty waterway that does have access to Messalonskee Lake. it's also only minutes from Long Pond and Great Pond boat launches. Costs $850 a week or $125 a night. Lodge in Bingham

A Maine Master Guide will take you fishing at a variety of ponds, streams and rivers in Bingham, The Gateway to the North Maine Woods. This is an explorer's paradise as each day you can fish a different body of water. Rafting, canoeing, and kayaking are also available. The lodge also has private shower facilities, a large sitting room with big screen TV and a hot tub. Large groups are welcome! Costs are very reasonable at $35 a night per person (includes breakfast) and $300 a day for fishing guide service (2 people). Moose Watching - your guide will take you for a drive/hike to see moose, deer and an occasional bear or eagle. Guide service fees vary depending on your wishes.


Cabin in Caratunk

Just outside of the Forks is a newly built cabin located close to white water rafting and fishing opportunities. The cabin sleeps 8 and has full amenities (bathrooms, two bedrooms, living room/kitchen combination, and two decks.) Located directly across the street from the Kennebec River on Rt. 201 for easy access! This camp puts you in some excellent fishing areas: Dead River, Wyman Lake, Kennebec River, Emden Pond, etc, etc. $550.00 a week for up to people makes this a great deal or $40 a night p.p. (3-person minimum).
