Guided Fishing

Choose from over 40 different lakes, ponds, streams or rivers. We offer full guide service for salmon, brook trout, brown trout, and bass. Enjoy a float trip down the Kennebec River for trophy brown trout or take the children fishing for delicious white perch. Rates range from $165 - $265 a day depending on the number in your party. Yes, we can outfit you with rods, reel, and tackle too! Here's some recommended trips:

  • Pike Fishing

    The Belgrade’s are famous for our trophy Northern Pike and catching this challenging fish is our specialty! Fish with a registered Maine Guide and enjoy these toothy game fish. We provide all the tackle and bait. Fly fishermen are welcome too! The best time of year is around May 1 - June 30 and again in the fall from early September - November 1. We can catch them in the summer, but it's a little slower fishing. This area offers one of the best chances at a true trophy pike anywhere in New England. P.S.     Striped Bass Fishing

    Maine’s Striped Bass fishery is the success story of the 2000’s! Here’s your chance to enjoy one of the best fly-fishing or conventional tackle game fish on the coast. Throw in an occasional blue fish and you have one memorable trip! Rates vary depending on # in party. Price range is from $265 for inland trips (2 people) - $350 full day for coastal fishing. Ocean trips are usually baased in Bath, which is about 45 minutes from Belgrade Village.

    Moose Watching

    Travel to Bingham for a guided hike and ride in search of a Maine moose. Success rates are very high on this trip! Lunch is provided at a local lodge. A camera and lots of film is recommended.

    Rates: $40 per person

    Remote Trout Fishing Trip

    This trip is available from any central Maine location. Ponds/Streams are approximately a 1-hour drive north of Belgrade Lakes. Fish in a canoe and/or float tube for wild brook trout with a Maine Master Guide. The fee includes a shore lunch -$ 175.00/day

    White Water Rafting

    Enjoy a day on one of Maine’s three premier white water rafting rivers. Rates for white water rafting vary depending on time of year (peak season) and weekday vs. weekend trips. Contact us for more information.

    • The Kennebec River in The Forks provides a perfect setting for a family outing. Some white water, combine with beautiful surroundings makes this trip the most popular (Rates: $57 - $92).
    • The Dead River offers 15 miles of continuos whitewater and spectacular beauty in a wilderness setting. Many class 3 and 4 rapids (Rates: $87 - $97).
    • The mighty Penobscot offers views of Mt. Katahdin and Baxter State Park and the largest rapids in Maine. Class 4 and 5 rapids abound (Rates: $62 - $122).

    Canoe Trip and Lobster Picnic on the Belgrade Stream or Kennebec River

    Advanced reservations are required. Costs are $50.00 per person for an unguided trip. Includes canoe and equipment rentals, shuttle service and a full lobster picnic. For a guided trip, costs are $100 per person. Guide service is highly recommended for the Kennebec River trip. Visa and Mastercard accepted. Fishermen and wildlife photographers are welcome! We will run a separate trip any day of the week for private groups. Approximate trip length is 3.5 hours. This is an easy paddle perfect for beginners, kids and families.

    Kayaking the Kennebec River, Belgrade Stream or Explore Ingham Pond

    Kayak or canoe from Waterville - Sidney on the beautiful Kennebec River. This is a guided trip or you can hire our shuttle service. Rentals are also available - $25 a day/canoe or kayak and $50 for the shuttle. Guided trips are $65 per person and include rental and shuttle.
    A small amount of white water is encountered on the Waterville - Sidney portion of the river, while the Sidney to Augusta stretch is complete flat water. Eagles are seen often on this trip, along with ducks, ospreys, and loons. Ingham Pond and the Belgrade Stream are both located near fabled Long Pond in the Belgrade Lazkes Region. THese are flat water trips with wonderful scenery and excellent bird and wildlife watching opportunities.

    Shark Fishing

    Enjoy a full day on the ocean aboard a 29’ sport fisherman. There is nothing like catching a Maine shark on a fly rod – try it, you’ll like it. Over 600-hooked last year – averaging 18 a trip! Boat leaves from the Bath area. Rates: $500.00 a day – up to 5 fisherman per trip (8 – 10 hours of fishing). All tackle and gear included; you bring food and beverages.
